Mormon Brownies

You can find these Brownies at many a church pot luck. They are different than the standard box brownies.

Brownies-

1 and 1/2 sticks butter, melted

6 Tbsp. cocoa

1 and 1/2 c. sugar

3 eggs1 and 1/3 c. flour

1 and 1/2 c. chopped pecans

1 and 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Melt butter in saucepan; then, add ingredients in order given. Mix each well- do all by hand. Bake in 300 degree oven for 30 minutes in a 9x13 inch pan. Butter and flour pan. Cover with the following frosting recipe when brownies have cooled.

Frosting-

1 stick butter, melted

3 Tbsp. cocoa

6 Tbsp. milk

1 lb. powdered sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

In a sauce pan bring butter, cocoa, and milk to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in remaining ingrediants. Cool slightly and frost brownies. Allow to cool more before serving.
